All children are unique, and some have qualities which require a non-traditional approach to their education.  These educational diversities may be due to things such as Autism, ADHD, or Down Syndrome. In addition, students with exceptional talents and gifts may also have difficulties.

The Plano and Brinker PTAs have created the Special and Gifted Education (SAGE) committee.  The purpose of SAGE is to provide education, support and communication to the families of special needs and gifted kids.  This committee also assists our special education teachers and staff in reaching our goals for our children.

SAGE is open to anyone who loves a child that participates in Special Education, the Gifted and Talented programs (such as PACE), or who simply struggles with learning differences. Participation is completely voluntary.  An information release form is available here.
